RE: Kore - Sapair - 9/18/2025 Sapair leapt upon him in a seize, teeth grazing neck before his own bite was deflected. Quick flashes of jaws and several rolls had them locked and goaded to greater fierceness. Nothing daunted Ra. Even at his age, his defenses were nimble and he took all manner of risks and skirts against his opponent. It wasn’t a full evaluation, but a strong start. At last, jodai stood back in a chain of heavy pants and faced the boy. “You’ve been taught well,” he nodded and with a forearm, swept the spittle from his maw. RE: Kore - Ra Ibrahim - 9/22/2025 Both males played their roles in the dance, each making their mark on the other whether it be physically or mentally. So far, things seemed to be looking good for the apprentice. Ra kept himself from smiling too hard, not wanting to appear cocky and overconfident. He did his best to remain calm and collected through the whole experience, despite the heavy panting he was now exhibiting. Thank you, Jodai. I aim to please.A small smile was permitted to show itself this time around. I'm ready for more if you so wish to continue.Ra readied himself just in case of another attack, knowing full well that he could only keep up this good luck streak for only so long. Sapair RE: Kore - Sapair - 10/8/2025 Amber shot back over the haughty green, mouth twisting into a low, boorish laugh which did well to hide the ache in exerted, old muscles. Ra was disciplined and enduring, and these were the marks for a warrior who may yet stand in Pharaoh’s guard. “Your turn,” he prompted gruffly, heavy paws taking a walled stand. “Ground me, soldier, and I will free you here and now from the tether of fellahin.” RE: Kore - Ra Ibrahim - 10/9/2025 There it was, the command to end the entire brawl, and the opening he sought to end his life as a mere servant. Ra nodded his head in complete understanding, readying his body for the coming fight. Green eyes kept a close watch on his teacher, his adversary, looking for that opening that would end it all. He carefully made his assessment, then in a rush of speed for his size, charged the older male into his ribcage. Hoping to knock the wind out of him, he hit as hard as he could, opening his mouth wide for a bite to the back of the neck, using both the front and back of his body to ram him into the ground. Teeth were wide and aimed to clamp, furthering his potential bite and hopefully making their mark on his target. Sapair RE: Kore - Sapair - 10/22/2025 Ra struck, the range of his legs flaring to a blur of sunlight. The blow landed hard, a force compounding his side to give way, dulled to the impact. Jodai’s neck was caged in the snare of motion, and he tumbled to the packed earth of their sparring ground. There the struggle ensued in a deadlock, and with too much grace for a man of his size Sapair withdrew, rounding his shoulders out from the lunge of another grasp. “Again,” he commanded his stalwart opponent, teeth pointed like blades into Ra’s youthful breadth. RE: Kore - Ra Ibrahim - 10/26/2025 Ra felt the impact as he rammed into Sapair's side, though missing the bite as the more experienced man held his ground and threw him back. Even though they both had hit the earth beneath them, it wouldn't and didn't last long. The younger male got back to his feet, hearing the words raging into his ears to try again. It was becoming a nearly impossible task, but he wouldn't give up. The Fellahin went for his teacher again, aiming for his back legs this time in a full bite. If he couldn't knock him down, then he would try to use a more straight forward way of getting what he wanted. The golden wolf no longer wished to be simply a servant of the gods, but something more that could bring him promise. Yet this was proving to be more difficult, reminding him of his past experiences back home with his first teachers and mentors. A spark lit inside of him again, this time not failing to go out. He had to keep trying. Ra knew failure just wasn't an option any more. Sapair RE: Kore - Sapair - 10/26/2025 Ra sallies forth but in no aim to turn him. Suddenly it is his ankles that roil in darting sear, bladed teeth gnashing above what clash subjected calf and thigh. A scruff of one shoulder he seized, then an ear, prying both in impetuous retaliation. So swiftly did he whirl, guarding the hind end and bringing his weight upon the thrash, swerving down, side-to-side and with embittered growls. A round more they would tumble like this, both shielding throats, Sapair fighting to see what novel move might be employed next, if it's bluster might be foiled. RE: Kore - Ra Ibrahim - 11/8/2025 The pair made their moves, danced intricately in perfect harmony. Such was the art of battle and combat, a way of life that wasn't for the faint of heart. Ra understood this almost better then any other wolf his age, making sure not to take it so lightly and to push himself to the best of his ability. So when Sapair made moves to challenge him, he came crashing right back. This time he aimed again for the neck, trying to use his muscle and forelimbs to shake him off his feet and barrel him to the ground. He was running out of options and tiring quickly. Perhaps this was not the day he would be no longer named Fellahin. Though he would do his best and give it his all. Sapair RE: Kore - Sapair - 11/8/2025 At last one great beast was able to topple the other, heavy forelegs giving out by a hard shove of muscle, throat seized through the mane by a clutch of teeth. Laid down and gasping, Sapair nevertheless caught the contagion of eagerness and looked up at the victor— Ra in his many pounds of grit and fire. “Enough!” He laughed, pinched throat grunting the sound, “off me now, mazoi. You’ve earned your place. Understand the true work begins. You are the sword at the hand of pharaoh, and thus your body, your ka, your life in every iteration, belongs to Him.” RE: Kore - Ra Ibrahim - 11/9/2025 Truth be told, Ra was surprised when he was finally able to make the Jodai succumb to his might, his will. With a hearty laugh, the great man accepted his minor defeat and ordered his new recruit off of him. Ra of course did as he was told. Green eyes met copper as he was now fully accepted as one of the mazoi. Thus the true hard work would begin, being the sword for Pharaoh. It will be my honor. I shall not fail him. Thank you, Jodai. The newly christened mazoi gave a respectful bow of thankful gratitude, now knowing fully his place in the world. Now he just had to continue to live up to it. Sapair |
