RE: Let's steal a car tonight - Yaalk'ali - 10/23/2025

Yaalk'ali continued his run. His speed never relenting. The pounding of hooves made the ground shake under his footing. A pulsing which he bound with, propelling him up and foward with the deer it was as though he were a pretty prancing doe his very self.

They ran and ran, the herd breaking into smaller divisions and separating so that the wolves would be forced to choose which group to continue their chase with. Yaalk'ali chose at random, for his goal was not the does. At some point once they were far enough, he would stop and turn around to assist the others with the take down on their intended target.

It felt completely exhilarating to be out running in the open plain again. However, it was not only this, but to be among the herd. Granted, these poor souls had been cursed, plagued with the sickness which filled this land. None the less they were still powerful, still oh so beautiful.

Journey's eyes even fluttered closed a moment as she ran, feeling the pounding of hooves under her feet, the sound of it all around her. And even, if only for a fleeting moment, she could remember hearing her own hooves pounding the heart, the beating in her chest, the heavy blow of her breath through strong lungs.

When she saw another wolf colored with white and red, streaked in black and grey, her attention directed to his path. He continued straight on. Journey went for the branch arching to the left, furthering the herd from their crowned.

Those of speed and stamina ran. Meleys body moved in a steady, easy lope behind. It will be the stag's choice. He may have us run to further the distance between us and his herd. To focus on him. Either way, if he runs or not, he will stop and he will fight.

The sprinters split, the herd breaking apart in different directions. The stag cantering behind, bellowing as he followed in slower lope and kept his eyes upon those gathering around him. There was a great legion of wolves here. Would he attempt to hold back them all?

Meleys' head perks to the sound of a woofing for attention. It is given by a large, smokey man who came too close to the flame. Meleys woofs in turn and begins to move quicker, honing in on the stag as she runs at an angle, to bring her closer to the other wolf. If he could keep up, he could run with Lanzadoii.

RE: Let's steal a car tonight - Isaiah - 10/24/2025

skill: hunter 2/5

He heard his sister cry out his name and all that he could manage was a whoop of pure joy to answer her. The exhilaration of the hunt, of having his family with him, it was enough to suspend any concern in the color of the stags or in the strange weather and the plague itself. His gaze meet the Great Stag. It felt like their souls connected somehow across the planes. Isaiah was not the type who allowed himself truly to be swept up into hysteria. He liked to think that he was level-headed most of the time. Though he didn't really experience his parents much on their own, he had followed more dutifully along the path his mother laid out, although his shiny rocks merely were the carriers of his feelings regarding his siblings.

Hunting, providing for Dawnbreak, making sure that none of his family ever went without, it was something he had internalized and, though very well intended, he had misplaced as his own burden to bear. He was greedily clinging to it, like somehow he'd save them from wasting away as Olive had. He could not carry it all on his own, and yet he still would try. Rather than face the stag solo - Berii would have pummeled him then, he veered suddenly and scrambled away, startling a few of the smaller blue creatures until they scattered. He was not the only one, it seemed, who was taking advantage of their speed. He watched the others as they cleaved the herd.

Isaiah knew, through something deep and instinctive, that this wild hunt was so much more. His heart raced to the cadence of the hooves as they pounded the land. He could not stop, because they all could not stop, and the hooves would not stop either. He saw his siblings running, he saw them in their own regards rather than as the balancing act that they were. Aurelia, of the Pillar of Wisdom, and Tiberii, of the Pillar of Power. Every molecule of his body felt alive with energy, as if he was never at risk of falling asleep. As if the world had seen him fit to be as all the rest were.

im very behind but shall do my best to catch up <3
ronan watched the others make the first move, waiting to find his opening. he wasn’t able to keep up with the sprinters, but he could help deal the final blow. he kept to the back of the gathered hunting party, pace a steady gallop to keep his eyes on the stag.

if you take down the lead stag, the rest will disappear. a voice whispered in his mind, and ronan felt the ghost of a grin appear before his face relaxed. it was a test, one created by the earth itself. yet also a cleansing, with the death of the lead stag healing the earth. it was on the gathered to heal the earth, and he, as the warden to ensure it occured.

he watched the sprinters cut the herd, separating the stag from the others. the thunder of hooves and paws matched the rhythm of his heart and he knew this was where he was meant to be.

ronan studied the movement of the herd, watched how they spread like a flock of birds but stayed within the stag’s range. it’d be a difficult hunt, but with the odds seemingly in the hunters’ favor, he knew it could be done so long as everyone worked together.
