When the fire rages - Kirain - 10/29/2025

Backdated to 10/8. Don't feel the need to respond! Just wanted to get this meeting out there <3

The journey to her den in the Goldenwood was not a long one, yet Kirain kept a close eye on her companions all the same. Worry simmered quietly in her chest beneath the light of the blood moon. Though the forest was calm, the crimson glow it cast made her uneasy. With a small shake of her pelt, she pushed the thought aside and refocused on the task at hand.

Elisabet  and Senka were about to meet the little ones, a moment she and her husband had long looked forward to. The pups were their pride and joy, and Kirain hoped that this meeting would nurture the sense of community she dreamed of for Camhanaich. Bonds built on trust and warmth, never force.

Stopping just outside the den, she glanced back at her guests with a reassuring smile. I’ll be right back, she said softly before slipping inside.

There she found her mate tending to their pups, all well and content. Relief eased her chest; she trusted Lestan completely, yet the lingering anxiety of being away from her children never truly faded.

Lestan, little ones, she called gently, voice brimming with affection. I have some people I’d really like you to meet. Come now.

With gentle nudges, she urged the three pups forward until they peeked out into the open air. Beaming with pride, Kirain stood over them, her tail wagging merrily.

I’d like to introduce you to Eilidh, Saorlaith, and Faolán, she said brightly, glancing toward her husband with a fond smile. And, of course, Lestan.

Shhh i didn't lose track of this one

Skill - Orator

Tail wagging, Liss followed eagerly, chattering to Senka the entire way about the names of family, what they looked like, how they acted, and various embarrassing personal anecdotes about her siblings. She only stopped when they reached the den, and Kirain made a delightful promise.

From there, Liss couldn't hold back a whine, crouching with runaway tail thumping the grass behind her. Hello Eilidh! Hello Saorlaith! Hello Faolán! She stretched forward with intent to give each an excitable nose boop and full-face lick in turn. I'm Liss!

If he let her, she'd give the same greeting to Lestan.

lestan had been shaken by the events of some days prior. he feared for their equilibrium, and like kirain, could scarcely make himself leave the den. but it was with true happiness that he returned his mate's expression, an encouraging smile on his face. as the pups followed their mother from the den, lestan took a breath to steel himself and emerged behind them. it is a good day, the mayfair murmured to them all.
liss was there, ebullient as always. the woman with herself and kirain was an elder in her own right, and lestan regarded her with an open respect. s-say hello, he said quietly to the little ones. and i am p-pleased to make your acquaintance, spoke the man earnestly.
he stepped back then, wanting the pups to engage with their packmates without the hovering of his own anxieties.
