Danger in its name, it is no easy feat to live in this dry southern land. Savannahs and deserts abound in this vast landscape, the air itself feeling parched and acrid, while any water that does bless this region instead creates treacherous flooding and destruction. Only the most hardy of creatures are able to live in this valley.

This was getting out of control. In and out of this place as if he was a toy being thrown from child to child. Régis felt himself being flung down from the sky, coming down at high speed as he collided with a sand dune, tumbling down the curve. Coughs and grunts echoed from his mouth as he rolled, his eyes dizzy from trying to regain himself. Thank goodness it was cold of all things in a desert. Closing his amber gaze, the chocolate wolf tried to calm himself and stop the vertigo that plagued him.
It took some time, but it did eventually stop. Thank goodness that's over. Now where am I? Régis slowly and cautiously opened dark lids, looking around to see nothing but sand and brittle grasses for miles. Above him, stars that glittered like jewels welcomed him, and the moon shown with great beauty. It was as if it was smiling upon the world. If only he could feel such happiness again. But never say never. Régis gets to his feet, feeling a bit more steady as he tried to figure out where to go from here.
