The day was anew and sun had finally peaked its rays through the mouth of their homey little hideaway of a den. Though the pup was sprawled out as usual, a rowdy dream seemed to stir her, running was she? Maybe flying this time? Regardless of which wild dream decided to bounce about her state of rest, they were but a distant memory now, a fading adventure she held no strings to. Rolling from her back to her stomach and right onto her paws, the day had started… for her at least. A quick look around and well it seemed she was the only one starting her day, how boring! It was no fun being the only one awake, no one to talk to OR play with, didn’t they know they were missing out if they slept too long??

Being refilled with energy after a long nights rest, there was no going back to sleep for her, and for that she’d have to find a way to entertain herself, which was never too hard with enough fidgeting around. She shamelessly climbed over her father, and around her siblings just to freeze in her tiny tracks.. the snow.. it was taller than before, almost taller than her! With absolutely no sense of caution she bounded towards the mass of snow that sat stiffly at the base of their den, her little white paws coming up to place her weight on it. It hardly moved, and the pieces of snow that did in fact fall were but thick clumps.. suddenly she had the brightest idea!! And yet such an idea wouldn’t be a lick of fun without someone to do it with..!

She was woken by ─ being stepped on. Paws and legs in her face and on her belly, jabbing in every uncomfortable place as one of her sisters clambered over top of her. Eidola groaned, groggy as she rarely got good sleep and reluctantly peeled one eye open watching as Illithya bound for the dens opening...was the sun even up all the way? Ugh.

Slowly, so very slowly she managed to open her other eye and prop herself up on her elbows picking her head up even though it felt it weighed as much as that turkey uncle Shiloh brought by the other day. With one paw, the girl rubbed her eyes, yawning before finally asking heavy and sleepily. ❝ Illithya...what are you doin? ❞ she whispered.

❝ You're gon' wake everyone up...is too early go back to sleep ❞ she insisted on it, yawning again she put her head back down in hopes her energetic sister would listen.

For the shortest handful of moments, this bundle of unwavering excitement pondered.. it would be mean to wake everyone up for just one reason, but being alone was no fun either, of course they would eventually wake up in their own but that could take literally forever! She was in the fiercest battle within herself, ultimately deciding to be give in to her excitement, or be a good girl a stay patient.. well.. she wouldn’t be hurting anyone with sleep time cut a little short, right??

Suddenly she jumped, her tail wagging with much more vigor with a new voice added to the mix. “Eidola!!” She exclaimed, a tone voided of nothing less than joy. Her sister was now awake, and that solved nearly every problem of the morning! She bounced gleefully towards her sister, bowing and giving her a soft boop of a greeting. “Eidola, let’s go out and play..!” She mused, her own tone seeming to not understand the point in whispering now, however it was slightly quieter.. to Thia maybe.

“Its nevah to early to play, the snow is so pretty today, and it’s tougher than before! We could make something!” She explained, her wide mixed match gaze waiting not so patiently for a response. Illithya knew her sister was more on the shyer side than herself, but who could resist a play in the snow??

“Eidola!!" she winced as her sister shouted with pure excitement and joy beaming through to her eyes. Too loud...much too loud. Not awake. The girl lazily blinked, another yawn escaping her maw. Purple eyes watched her fawn colored sibling as she bounded back to her and pile of sleeping sisters and mom and dad. Nose brushing against the other girls even as she drew her head back slightly.

“Eidola, let’s go out and play..!” ❝ Shhh... ❞ she immediately followed with, eyes worriedly glancing back. “Its nevah to early to play, the snow is so pretty today, and it’s tougher than before! We could make something!” she looked back again at the rest of the sleeping family, and reluctantly hoisted herself up. ❝ Ok...ok..I'm coming ❞ she whispered, if it would get her sister to stop shouting in the den.

Hoisting herself up felt like a great effort, but once she was on her feet, still half asleep she nosed Illithya toward the entrance to get her out and away from everyone else. Eidola however couldn't help but hesitate as they reached the snow, not ready for the cold on her feet.

Her wide eyes and the unstoppable wagging of her tail waited not so patiently on her sister’s response. Now she knew there was a slight chance of her saying no, but in all honesty a smile no wouldn’t stop her asking again.. and again.. and well.. again if need be, and she was prepared to do so! To the point she was even holding her breath if not only for a few seconds… Until finally an exhale, she said yes!! Well basically she said yes.

An excited miniature squeal took no time creeping past her maw, her enthusiasm could hardly be contained at this point. Illithya gladly accepted the nudges to approach the welcoming entrance of their den, there had been very few times she’d left the den on her own and she quickly found the lack of company quite diminishing on her expositions, though a thoughtless conversation with herself helped but didn’t quite fill the void. However that wasn’t the case for today’s adventure! Today she had company, her sister! And she’d be sure to enjoy every second of it.

Matching her sisters pace, she to stopped at the entrance, was she nervous? The last thing she wanted was for her sister to back out now, and what better solution than a bit of encouragement?? “Eidola-!” She started, looking to her sibling with a wide smile. “Let’s jump in together! On three okay??” She took a small step back, crouching down and preparing for a spring. “1..2….3!”

“Eidola-!” her ears pinned back at her sisters squeal of excitement. A puppy enthusiasm the introverted, burdened and hesitant soul often lacked. “Let’s jump in together! On three okay??” a half hearted smile found her lips though, and her tail swayed gently as she nodded. ❝ Ok... ❞ she agreed.

She would try, she would always try. The girl made a silent promise to herself then.

She. would. always. try.

Eidola watched her sister, following her movements and crouching her body down with Illithya's earthen frame.

“1..2….3!”

The girl sprung forward then, a rush of cold and fluff meeting her paws, chest and chin as the snow poofed around them in a flurry. A laugh erupted, tail wagging as she swatted a pawfull of snow toward her sister and bounced up to shake it from her back.

A spew of giggles lifted up into the nippy breeze, her little paws suddenly so cold and damp. “Now that wasn’t hard was it?? It fun! Even you’d have to admit that!” She stated, a light bump colliding between the two sister’s shoulders. For a moment her gaze wandered, looking from tree to rock to boulder with an eager curiosity before turning back to her sister just to be met with a pawful of cold bitter fluff.

A shocked expression settled across her face, and yet for only a moment before shifting to something completely opposite, determination. She then moved her paws from their sunken holes and instead made a quick lap around her sister before parking but a handful of inches right in front of her, a mischievous grin pulled at her cheeks and her tail zipping from side to side.

She then began a simple, yet quick motion of kicking a mini pile of snow onto her sister, nearly completely burying her in it. Her achievement glowed proudly on her face that quickly followed with a rolling of laughter. “How’s THAT?!” Now this.. this was DEFINITELY her type of fun, she was more than happy to share it with her sister.

“Now that wasn’t hard was it?? It fun! Even you’d have to admit that!” even her? What was that supposed to mean? Did her sister somehow know that she was the odd one out? Eidola's ears would signal her confusion and discomfort only by a slight turn in reverse while her sisters gaze drifted. But she didn't want to upset her, or ruin their fun so she smiles instead when her eyes come back, laughs and wags her tail and proceeds with their game.

Eidola lit back up, smirking as her sisters face contorted from shocked and then to fiery and she watches, purple eyes tracing the blur of her form as she races around her. She tilted her head as the other girl stopped in front but before she knew it she was being completely buried in flying snow. She would erupt in laughter, rocking back on her haunches to try and lift her paws to block her face. ❝ Hey! ❞ she barks playfully. “How’s THAT?!”

but she wasn't fierce and fiery like her sister. She shook her head, the motion following down her back to shake the snow free of her fur.

❝ Alright, alright you win ❞ she admitted with a small smile.

The pup beamed, her smile loose and her tassel nearly rocking her little body from side to side. This was so exciting! It was always her greatest joy playing with her sisters, this sister specifically. To her it wasn’t hard to notice the lack of vigor she had compared to the rest of them, she was always between papas legs, or behind mamas tail, she was never at the head of the group.

Seeing as such it made her only want to include her more, a friendly nudge out of her bubble maybe? After all, it was hard to see how much fun everything was behind their parents, they were just too big! Besides being left out was never any fun! Perhaps it was the success of getting her to come out and play, or maybe things were just more exciting with her in general, all she knew was playing with her seemed all the more fun than usual!

“Come on Eidy!!” She urged running further from the den and into a wider area of snow. “Let’s make something! The snow is tougher over here, maybe we can make our own secret den; Everyone can come and visit!” She wasn’t quite aware an everyone welcome sign meant it was no longer a secret, but who cared?? She was gonna make the biggest snow den, and with the biggest welcome wolf on the outside too!

“Let’s make it bigger than us, bigger than papa and mama too!”
