She has his scent, she got him - and boy oh boy, Kyros was so proud! She sniffed at the air, sniffy-sniffed all around. It was totally scary to be out, in this big, bad world that she didn’t really know existed past the border, but if Papa was here, somewhere, then it had to be okay!

But she wasn’t really paying any attention, to nothin’ - just paying attention to her Papa’s scent. She didn’t notice that they weren’t exactly alone, or the way her sister looked behind them all of the sudden, no - until Eidola pushed against her back while she was sniffing at a leaf and a twig, curiously looking at a discarded piece of fur that might had belonged to their papa?

She wiggled her nose and sniffed, but she couldn’t tell - and then something, a sound she’d never heard quite so loud, echoing in the forest around them - and she looked up, at her sister.

And then - something landed on her, landing right on her backside, a baby squirrel, and Kyros' eyes widened, and she screamed.
