Yaalk'ali did not know if this woman would work well in Saatsine or not. She looked to delicate, so frail, yet perhaps there was hidden strength within her. After all, Yaalk'ali was far smaller then many men within the bands, yet he was quick and quick witted. He did not bull rush into things and get injured, causing one to be left behind. Maybe she could keep up too. Maybe not. It was the chieftan to decide, yet it be another possible member of Saatsine which Yaalk'ali brought to Kusax̱asaa so he is well rewarded for his efforts.

We no healer. Then again, unless it was a wound she could easily patch up and that wolf can take to marching again soon, healing wouldn't do much good. He kept that to himself, of course.
