ronan knew twitch had it in her to be a huntress. she was fluid, her body mirroring his as they prowled through the brush. he kept quiet, allowing the girl to lead them in the hunt—a test of sorts. ronan wanted her to know she was capable, but to also see if she could continue, if, no, when they parted. he didn’t expect for her to want to stay with him, but he knew he wanted to make sure she’d survive no matter her decision.

he saw the doe a second before twitch, but remained silent, allowing her to listen to her instincts. twitch was a quick learner, eager to suceed. and a student like that was easier to teach. a smile appeared once she nudged him and gestured towards the cervid. “nice catch.” he lowered down, turning his body slightly towards the woman, “now i’m gonna need you to cut right, and i’ll cut left. she might fight, or she’ll bolt. if she fights, keep her occupied but out of range. if she runs, go for the throat.” ronan knew it was a lot of direction, but he had faith she could follow. she wanted to learn, he could tell from the way she agreed to hunt with him. now was just the time to execute.

the male crept towards the left, looking to see if the girl had followed his move. they’d need to move in sync, mirror one another if this were to work.
